What rule governs the Deductive Challenge grid?
- It is a Latin square: every symbol appears exactly once in each row and each column. The target cell has exactly one symbol that satisfies both constraints.
How do I solve it quickly?
- Scan the target's row and column, list which symbols already appear, and the answer is whatever is left. With a 3x3 or 4x4 grid that is faster than reasoning about the grid as a whole.
